A Pirate's Life for Me!

Thursday afternoon Brittney and her friend both came home from school with a big bag of those yummy flavored tootsie rolls in each of their backpacks -- pillaged from the Kindergarten teacher's drawer. The girls were discovered hiding in the friend's room unwrapping and eating the stolen treasure just as fast as they could (which is just how I eat tootsie rolls! -- stolen or not!!) They, of course, were very repentant as soon as they realized they were caught... "we were just kidding!"
---
Brittney wrote a most sincere apology and cried when we took the money out of her piggy bank, but she dutifully carried the 20 dollar bill into the store and gave the money to the clerk to purchase the replacement candy. When the clerk handed her back a $10, $5, two $1 and some change, Brittney's eye's grew wide! She couldn't believe her luck!! Now she had more money than ever!!
---
This morning we are heading over to the school together to visit with her teacher and replace the bounty, but I'm pretty sure I have converted my beautiful little girl to the pirate's life forever.
---
So now you know...whenever we're around, lock up your stuff...don't say you haven't been warned.

I am sure there was a good reason:) Maybe Brittney needs to visit Grandma more. No boring days at your house!

Did Nate teach her how it's done?

Haha. Reminds me of Spicer hiding in Grammie's pantry and stuffing mentos into his mouth as fast as he could. He knew we would catch him and wanted to get as many in before we did. He always looked like a chipmunk- his cheeks puffed out with mentos! At least his breath was minty fresh!

I guess we shouldn't laugh too loud as that might give her more encouragement in this...ah...field!! But it did make us laugh a lot!! Come to Grammie's house and you won't have to steal the candy - she gives it out freely...LOL.
I had forgotten all about Spicer and his Mento theft...
